Xiang Zhang
Xiang Zhang was born and grew up in China. After graduating from The Central Academy of Drama in Beijing, he received a Master of Fine Arts from Tulane in New Orleans. Completing his formal education, he moved to Texas, observing working ranches and western lifestyle and traditions.
His work reflects the symbolic relationship between the cowboy and his horse and the drama of ranch life. Zang combines his love for painting horses and portraiture to develop his special style of western art combining impressionistic, as well as realistic techniques.
