Something Rotten! JR. is a fast-paced musical comedy that takes audiences back to the Renaissance, where brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom dream of becoming successful playwrights. Unfortunately, they live in the shadow of the era's biggest celebrity, William Shakespeare, whose plays are the talk of London.

Desperate to outshine Shakespeare, Nick visits a quirky soothsayer, Nostradamus, who predicts that the future of theatre will combine singing, dancing, and acting all at once. Inspired by this unusual vision, the brothers set out to create the world's very first musical. Their ambitious plan leads to hilarious misunderstandings, larger-than-life characters, catchy songs, and plenty of theatrical chaos.

As opening night approaches, the Bottom brothers discover that true success doesn't come from copying someone else's achievements—it comes from believing in yourself, embracing your own creativity, and staying true to who you are. Filled with clever humor, energetic musical numbers, and heartwarming lessons about family, perseverance, and self-confidence, Something Rotten! Bosque Art Classic Opening Ceremony 2026

41st Annual Art Exhibition & Sale

The Bosque Art Classic national exhibition features over 200 pieces of art this year. The show premieres with a reception, sale, dinner, and awards ceremony on Saturday, September 12. 

Tickets to the opening gala are $85.

The general sale opens at 6:30, with dinner served at 7 p.m. and awards ceremony following.

2026 Writing Contest Entries - Books on the Bosque

Anyone wishing to enter original works in the 2026 Books on the Bosque Writing Contest may use this ticketing feature to pay entry fees. NOTE: Read contest guidelines and download printable entry form first.

Click the “Get General Admission Tickets” button below.  In the blank for “Ticket Holder or Guest Name,” enter instead the name of manuscript and click “Add Ticket.”  Fill in a blank and add a ticket for every manuscript you wish to submit.  When all titles are entered, proceed to the payment page. 

After you have paid, you may email your entries along with a completed entry form.  Please include your Order ID number with your submissions.

Payment and entries must be received by 5 p.m. September 21, 2026
