We celebrate the 250th birthday of our great nation with this year’s Big Event, and we’ll also hearken back to Big Events of yesteryear with some of the activities. Get ready for a fun night of bingo and delicious hamburgers on Friday, April 10, with some great jackpots up for grabs. Saturday, April 11, features a gourmet duo with dinner catered by Olaf’s and the new Four Forks. The night will include entertainment, drawings, a silent auction, and a limited live auction. Sponsor tickets for Saturday night go on sale in February: John Adams - $500 each; Thomas Jefferson - $250. Betsy Ross (non-sponsor) tickets are $175. Corporate sponsorship packages are also available for $5,000 and $2,500.
Big Event season has already begun, though, with 50/50 raffle tickets available now. The winner will receive 50% of the proceeds of the raffle on prepaid credit cards. Tickets for a rifle drawing will also be available. The winner of the limited-ticket drawing receives a Bergara BXR .22 rifle.
This year’s auctions and drawings will feature an array of fine art, items, and events: Texas Rangers tickets, a guided fishing trip, Pappy Van Winkle 15-year-old bourbon, a private mixology party, jewelry, assorted gift cards, and art, photography, and pottery donations from your favorites.

The Big Event helps fund the annual operating budget of the Bosque Arts Center, a 501(c)3 non-profit. The volunteerism, sponsorships, donations, and participation in the fun activities the Big Event committee plans each year keep the BAC thriving. Each year the event includes a wonderful catered dinner and opportunities to purchase one-of-a-kind items.
