Dan Bodelson

Dan Bodelson spent his childhood in Colorado and New Mexico. He attended high school in Santa Fe, then went to California to pursue his studies in art at California College of the Arts in san Francisco/Oakland, where he graduated with a BFA in 1972. He had a brief stint as an illustrator before returning to Santa Fe for a full-time career in painting.
Dan’s subject matter includes the American Indian and their lives, scenes of past and present from western life, subtle landscapes, and delicate still lifes. He and his family have traveled extensively, with many painting opportunities. Dan’s work is found in many outstanding private and corporate collections. His work has been shown from New York to LA at places such as The Art Students League of New York, the Autry Museum of the American West, the Eiteljorg Museum, the Gilcrease Museum, the Albuquerque Museum, and many others. Greg has been featured in select publications such as The New York Times, Business Week, Art of the West, Southwest Art, and Colorado Cowboy, etc.
Dan lives with his wife, Patty, in Santa Fe and they have two grown daughters. His work is represented by the Joe Wade Fine Art Gallery in Santa Fe, NM, the InSight Gallery in Fredericksburg, TX and Settlers Gallery West in Tucson, AZ.
