The fun is back at the Bosque Arts Center during the North Pole Country Store event Friday and Saturday, December 2 and 3. Friday night kicks off after the parade with the Gingerbread Construction Zone. Select special gingerbread items for $15 available for decoration for both kids and adults. Pick out your cookie kit or the tiny house kit which includes all your decorating items along with the expert advice of Kit and Tym Meyers, decorating advisors from San Antonio. Kit and Tym will be on site Friday evening 6:30 to 8:30 and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
For the younger generation, a special visit by the Grinch is planned for both Friday night 6:30 to 8:30 and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Coloring contest entries distributed at the school will be accepted at this time and winners announced at a later date. Come visit with the Grinch and take advantage of this special photo opportunity.
We’re spotlighting holidays from years past with some special items on sale. Members of the Bosque Arts Center have created a number of wreaths available for sale Friday and Saturday. Susan Frazier is heading up our creative team to design a number of holiday and everyday wreaths for sale, priced according to design and size. Along with wreaths, the Quilt Guild will be on hand with their hand sewn items, including table runners, pillows, hot pads, wall hangings and much more. Culinary Club and selected members have jumped in providing a selection of delicious treats for sale. Pottery sales and food sampling items are also on the list as well as the gift shop’s selection of holiday gifting items.
Again this year the BAC is the official stop on the Norwegian Country Christmas Tour for the Quilt display. The second floor hallway gallery will be decked out in the colors of red and white quilts in honor of the colors of the season. Quilts furnished by quilt member Judith Stone.
Swing by the BAC to meet your friends, shop for gifts and create a gingerbread decorating memory while enjoying spiced cider and cookies Friday evening and Saturday. See you there!!!
