Nelson Tucker

Nelson Tucker was born into the world of fine art with both parents being professional artists. He has always had a natural talent for drawing. As a teen in 2013, he was accepted into the National Scholastic Art and Writing Competition. In a juried show, the curators from the Denver Art Museum chose his wall size pen and ink to be the first piece of artwork displayed upon entering the gallery.
He attended Columbus College of Art and Design for two years, studying in particular, illustration. He is continuing his education studying with premier illustrators and artists. He is currently experimenting with different mediums: pen and ink, scratchboard, pencil, acrylics, oils, and in the digital arts. He prefers the traditional mediums but is always experimenting and growing.
Three of his scratchboard pieces were recently accepted into the 2019 Southeastern Wildlife Exposition.
He lives near Monument, Colorado.
