2025 Bosque Art Classic Judge
Bruce Greene, CA

Bruce Greene is master of a multitude of art mediums. His sculptures, drawings, paintings, and etchings adorn the halls and gardens of both private collections and prominent places. Baylor University, Globe Life Park in Arlington, and the Alamo all showcase his monument work, as will the Bosque Arts Center, with the arrival of Goats in the Garden, commissioned by longtime art patrons Joyce and Roland Jones.
Greene was elected into membership in the Cowboy Artists of America in 1993 and has served multiple terms as president and other offices. He has won numerous awards in CAA exhibitions, including the Anne Marion Best of Show Award and, most recently, gold in sculpture and silver in water solubles. He is a two-time winner of the CAA’s Ray Swanson Memorial Award, given for artwork “that best communicates a moment in time and captures the emotion of the moment.”
When he last served as judge for the Classic, Greene noted: “In the end, this endeavor is not about man’s awards. If you’ve been called to do this thing…if it’s your passion--that’s really what this thing is about. To honor that and the ability that you’ve been given.”
Bruce Greene continues to honor his passion, both as an artist and a mentor to all who travel the shadowland of artistic endeavor.
