Atrium Gallery - Atkinson Exhibit

Local artist Jo Atkinson is November’s featured artist in the Atrium Gallery.  Atkinson’s artwork will be on display beginning November 2 till November 30, with some pieces available for sale.  Her works include the early days of her pencil sketches for newspaper fashion ads, notecards, and of course, her paintings. Atkinson is a self-taught artist.  She relayed a story about a discussion between her father and mother when she asked to take art lessons in high school.  Her mother wanted her to take home economics and Father was okay with the art, but to avoid a family argument Jo opted to take speech.  Today we’re glad she continued to pursue her art. The BAC extends an invitation to all members to come and see Atkinson’s exhibit in the Atrium Gallery.
