POSTED: Friday, November 3, 2017
Decorated giant trees in the Atrium, quilts, Randy Meador paintings, music, artist demos, pottery, and a visit from Santa Claus...It’s the Arts of Christmas Expo at the BAC Friday - Saturday, December 1-2. Santa makes a stop after his debut in Clifton’s downtown parade on Friday (6:30 – 8:30) and returns on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 2 to 4.
Wander through all the levels of the BAC during Friday’s evening reception and partake of cookies and hot spiced cider. This year’s Expo features Frazier Performance Hall performers Steve and Jimmy Schmidt (guitar & fiddle) on Friday night. Saturday starts at 11 with the Ketchum piano students, the Harmonix at noon, Jane Creech on piano at 2, Emma and Gardner Guillory on guitar and piano 2:45 – 3:30, Rita and Roland Huie on flute and trombone at 3:30, and Donna Stevens on the piano at 4.
Be sure and shop the BAC bazaar in the Tin Building Theatre. Choose from items for sale by the Artisan Guild and BAC Quilt Guild while the Art Club hosts painting demonstrations, artwork, and a number of paintings for sale by local artists. Randy Meador’s one man show is on display in the gallery on the second floor. Don’t forget the selection of additional gift items in the BAC Gift Shop.
Expo hours: Friday 6:30 – 9 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Admission is free.
