3rd Annual BAC Quilt Show

POSTED: Friday, May 12, 2017

The 3rd Annual BAC Quilt Show and Competition will be held Friday-Sunday, June 2-4, 2017.  Quilts will be hanging throughout the BAC in specific categories for judging and awards.  This year over $1,200 in prize money will be awarded to quilters for the Best of Show, SAR (Special Artists Recognition), People’s Choice, and Judge’s Choice.  Friday and Saturday will host a variety of vendors open for business and your shopping enjoyment.  You heard about them last year and they’re back again this year:  Pain Free Products with their special massage pillows will be here, along with our quilt-specific vendors and non-quilt vendors.  This year we’ve added another aspect to the show with demonstrations at scheduled times during the day on Friday and Saturday.  Check the website for demonstration times.

On Friday and Saturday, bring those dull scissors and knives to the quilt show and have H. B. Brumbelow sharpen them up.  H.B. will be on site with his tools and ready to handle your sharpening needs.
Sunday is all about the quilts and the BAC will be open from 1 to 4 on Sunday, June 4 for quilt viewing.  The raffle quilt will be drawn at 3:45.

Monday, May 15 is the deadline for entries for the 2017 Quilt Show.  All quilters are encouraged to enter.  There is a maximum of three quilts per person with an entry fee of $10 per quilt. The BAC Quilt Show will award over $1,000 in cash and prizes for Best of Show, The Special Arts Recognition (SAR) award and the Viewer’s Choice.

Quilts must be delivered to the Bosque Arts Center by Monday, May 22.
