41st Annual Bosque Art Classic

Save the date for the 41st Annual Bosque Art Classic hosted by the BAC Art Council. The Classic opens on Saturday, September 12, at 6:30 p.m. with a reception, sale, dinner, and awards ceremony. Tickets for the evening are $85.
Art Patrons will enjoy a special reception with the artists on Friday, September 11. If you have not renewed your BAC and Art Patron membership, do so quickly so you don’t miss the special member perks.
This year the Classic features over 200 pieces juried by our distinguished judge Tim Newton, well-known curator of numerous shows such as the Briscoe and the Salmagundi Club of New York.
Newton made his final selections from 770 entries from artists across the nation. A host of former award winners have work in this year’s show, including Dana Lombardo, Brian Asher, David Yorke, Cindy Long, Tatsiana Harbacheuskaya, Jing Zhao, Jeff Williams, and Terri Wagner. Last year’s co-winner of Silver Medal Oil/Acrylic, Wagner has three oils in this year’s show. Ezra Tucker, Rusty Jones, and Joshua Stewart also return to the show with multiple pieces. Young pen-and-ink artist Samuel Vidrine has four pieces accepted, as does Joel Edwards.
We welcome a number of new faces to this Classic including Joseph Nguyen, Nolan Parsons, and Elizabeth Sage. BAC Art Club members juried into the show this year are Steven Umbach, Jan Beavers, Judy Parton, and Barbara Loyd. See below for a complete list of artists in the show.
At opening night on September 12, the winners of the show’s prizes will be announced, including the coveted John Steven Jones Purchase Award. On Sunday the free public exhibition opens, while the online sale will begin on Monday, September 14, at 10 a.m. The sale and exhibition close on Saturday, September 26.
