Atrium Gallery welcomes Rev. Jerry Smith as our August artist of the month.
Smith has always been an artist beginning at the age of 5 in his home of Nocona, Texas. Majoring in Art at Baylor University, before computers, he did just about everything art, from sketches to large backdrops for university events. Smith has worked in all kinds of mediums from pencil, colored pencils, pen and ink wash, conte crayon, charcoal, watercolors, acrylics, and some oil. He has also created sculptures from wood, metal, and other materials. Another medium of art that Smith enjoys is photography. In his exhibit you will see a number of creative endeavors. Smith is the retired pas tor at First Baptist Church, Clifton, and his wife, Brenda, served 20 years as the BAC’s Imagination Factory direc tor. Smith states, “As my wife Brenda would say, IMAG INATION IS CREATIVITY HAVING FUN.” Please stop by the Atrium Gallery during August for a sample of fun by Rev. Jerry Smith.
