38th Annual Big Event

CANCELLED for 2020

The decision has been made to cancel the 2020 Big Event dinner and dance.  This fundraiser was rescheduled for August 29 after the initial breakout of the disease.  With the ever increasing number of cases in Bosque County, the Big Event committee determined the cancellation of this event would be prudent for everyone.  This event will not be held in 2020, but will return again in 2021.  The tentative date for the 2021 Big Event will be Saturday, April 3.  Watch for the Safari news coming your way in 2021.

The e-BAC part 2 is still going strong.  With over 50 items up for grabs in the online auction, there are some great things available for gift giving on birthdays or for the upcoming holidays.  Several items feature the works of local talent: a leaf bowl by potter Kimberley Smith, a watercolor by artist Ann Patton, and engraved stemware by Rhonda West.  Some new trips have been added including a salmon fishing trip to Vancouver and a Whiskey tasting trip; or check out the golf outing for three, donated by Rowland Jackson at Shady Oaks, Ft. Worth.  Jewelry, totes,  a children’s book package, a Coleman backpack cooler, a selection of decorative items, and much more are available.   

Group event items scheduled on the calendar in August and September and purchased during the first auction, such as the Bourbon and Cigars, will be rescheduled.  Notification will be forthcoming of time and location.

E-BAC Part 2 runs now through Thursday, August 13.  All payments will process on Saturday, August 15, in order to take advantage of our TAX FREE day.
