Arts of Christmas
POSTED: Wednesday, November 27, 2019
There’s a special Green Guy posing as the Santa guy at the Arts of Christmas open house on December 6-7. Friday night from 6:30 to 9 p.m., The Grinch will greet boys and girls, parents and grandparents after the parade downtown. Bring your cameras for some cute photos and selfies with this special holiday guest.
Local award-winning quilts will be featured upstairs in the 2nd floor hall and student art galleries as part of the Norwegian Country Christmas Tour, along with a number of activities on the main level. Kathy Tate is our December guest artist in the Atrium Gallery, while the BAC Quilt Guild and Pottery Guild will provide a selection of wares for holiday gifts. Tablescapes will be open for viewing with admission of $5 per person.
Saturday Arts of Christmas activities run 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Grinch returns from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for more selfies and conversation. The Quilt Guild will feature a Kid’s Corner with activities for the younger generation in the Atrium alcove, as well as offer an ornament workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. for adults. Build your own ornament with the complete NO-SEW kit and instructions for $25. Don’t forget the Gift Shop has some wonderful ideas for gift-giving. Most importantly, be sure to stop in and sample our special assortment of cookies and spiced cider, served Friday evening and Saturday all day.
Kick off your holiday season this year at Arts of Christmas at the BAC! -DP
