Burgers & Blues with Van Wilks

Internationally known blues guitarist Van Wilks from Austin will be in concert at the BAC on Saturday, June 29, at 7:00 p.m. for Burgers & Blues. Van Wilks’ name is synonymous with the iron muscle of Texas Blues Rock. Van will present a variety of blues with some rock and roll thrown in.
A member of the Texas Music Hall of Fame, Wilks has been voted best acoustic and best electric guitarist in the Austin Chronicle’s music poll. Touted as “one of Texas’ best-kept secrets” and recently named by Billy F. Gibbons (ZZ Top) as one of his major influences, Wilks has shared the stage with some of the world’s greats, among them Billy F. Gibbons, Peter Frampton, Lyle Lovett, Christopher Cross, Eric Johnson, Robert Earl Keen, Darryl Jones of the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Leon Russell, Journey, and many others. The evening of outstanding music sponsored by the Bosque Civic Music Association will be complete with a delicious burger with all the fixings. Doors open at 6 p.m. Reserved tickets are currently on sale on the BAC website for $30 which includes burger, beverage, and music! -DJ
