McKerley Pottery Workshop

The BAC Artisan Guild will host a workshop with Ryan McKerley, nationally known Austin potter, in July.  In this workshop participants will experiment with Ryan’s fresh and exciting “Wax and Water Carving” techniques. You will marvel at the fantastic forms you can create on greenware using painted patterns in wax. These surface techniques are suitable for both functional vessels or sculpture. Students will also create deep recessed bisque molds carved in high relief, which can later be used for a variety of hand building projects.
