Book Club - November

POSTED: Wednesday, October 26, 2022

The Holidays are a time for festivities, family…. and feasting! November’s Book Club theme is Food (what else?).  Best-selling author, Barbara Kingsolver, chronicles her family’s year-long experiment on their farm in rural Virginia. Their plan: Eat only what they could grow themselves or obtain locally.  Laced with humor and honesty, Animal, Vegetable Miracle: A Year of Food Life (2007) (also titled Our Year of Seasonal Eating) “makes a passionate case for putting the kitchen back at the center of family life…” We’ll follow Kingsolver’s journey as we debate the upsides and downsides of “eating locally.”

Book club meets Wednesday, November 30, at 10:00 a.m.
