HS Art Show Awards Winners

Cambria Blanton captured top honors at the BAC Art Council’s High School Student Art Show with her pastel Inside the Ring.  The piece won first place pastel as well as Best of Show.  Blanton also won a first in mixed media and second in the drawing category.

The art show will be open for public viewing Monday - Friday, March 7 - 18, during regular Bosque Arts Center hours, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. The Arts Center is located at 215 S. College Hill Drive in Clifton.

The show was judged by Joe Barbieri, whose work has appeared in such shows as the Mountain Oyster Show, the Salon International Show, the Phippen Museum Show, as well as the Bosque Art Classic, in which Barbieri won the John Steven Jones Purchase Award in 2020.  His winning piece is displayed in the permanent collection of the Bosque Arts Center.

The Bosque Arts Center Art Council sponsors the annual student art show, with Roland and Joyce Jones providing the $500 underwriting for the Best of Show Award.
