Each year The Bosque Arts Center provides scholarships for graduating seniors of Bosque County who plan to pursue studies in the visual or performing arts or who have been actively engaged in the Arts Center programs. Each of the recipients will receive a $2,000 college scholarship.
This year’s recipients are Elaine Davis & Morgan Wallace of Clifton High School and Amny Rose who is home schooled. Elaine & Morgan will receive the Janet H. Jackson Performing Arts Scholarship. Amny will receive the BAC Charles Frambes Scholarship.
Elaine Davis is the daughter of Bryan & Julie Davis of Clifton. She plans to attend Tarleton State University in Stephenville where she will study animal science. Elaine has been involved in the BAC most of her life. She has performed in theatre productions, participated in Imagination Factory, photography, dance, pottery, and many other areas of the Bosque Arts Center.
Morgan Wallace is the daughter of Matt & Miriam Wallace of Meridian. She has been accepted into the school of music at the University of North Texas in Denton primarily to pursue music, but she is also extremely interested in learning about the business side of the music industry. She has been active in the Arts Center especially in the Civic Music Association.
Amny Rose, daughter of Chris & Lisa Rose of Clifton, plans to attend Stephen F. Austin State University this fall. She plans to major in Horticulture and has been accepted into the honors college. Amny has been involved in many aspects of BAC including Imagination Factory, Photography Shows, Artisan Guild, and Children’s Cooking Classes. For the past five years, she has been making items for sale in the BAC Gift Shop, such as jewelry, aprons, gift card cases, etc.
We congratulate these three fine young ladies and wish them well as they pursue their college careers.
