George Hallmark Workshop

Posted Friday, January 08, 2010

George Hallmark will be conducting a studio workshop on April 17 & 18.

“O.k. folks, we are going back to basics this year. I thought it would be interesting to move the workshop indoors and stress the fundamentals of design, composition and value. We won’t have to worry about thunderstorms, the wind or those annoying worm-like blooms from the live oak trees, and we can share thoughts without having to yell! You can look forward to having  a good time, enjoying great food and possibly learning a little bit about painting. Hope to see you there.”
– George Hallmark

George Hallmark, nationally known artist, will conduct a studio workshop at the Bosque Arts Center, located at 215 S. College Hill Dr. on April 17 & 18, 2010, starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday.  Each student should bring materials he/she regularly uses to complete a painting as well as two works in progress or two completed paintings for critique.  Continental breakfasts & lunches will be included in the workshop fee.  Bosque County is beautiful in the spring and the Bosque Arts Center Art Council is pleased to be able to present this outstanding artist in a workshop format.

Born and raised in north-central Texas, George Hallmark was an architectural designer and commercial artist before turning to easel painting.  Hallmark’s work has been featured in Art of the West, Western Art Collector, Southwest Art, and other U.S. Art magazines.
