Micqui Miller wrote her first novel at the age 12, and earned her first byline as a sports writer for a local Detroit newspaper when she was 15. Since that time, she has published more than 100 articles and short stories and three novels.
She won the prestigious Golden Heart from Romance Writers of America for her first novel, The Killing Hour, and “the silver” in 2003 as Best New Author for her novel, Morning Star, recently re-released by Cerridwen Press.
Sweet Caroline, a novel of romantic suspense, is the forerunner to the Caroline Spring Mystery Series. Micqui recently signed a contract for the adaptation of Sweet Caroline into a screenplay by Hollywood screenwriter/producer Dan Gaurdino, and Rolling Seas Production Company.

Title: Write That Book of Your Heart and Sell It – Now!
Purpose: An interactive workshop that provides beginning authors with the tools necessary to write and sell their first novel. Class meets one evening a week for six weeks in April. Participants are encouraged to bring a Brown Bag meal and beverage.
Course Description: In this interactive workshop, Micqui will lead participants through the basics necessary to write and market salable book-length fiction. Students will work on their own projects and participate in exercises such as writing a high concept statement, query letter, brief synopsis, and the critical opening paragraph of their novel.
Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of English grammar, spelling and word processing are necessary. Must also have internet access.
Class Size: Maximum of 10
Cost: $50 for six classes
