Rosemaling Workshop

Rosemaling, a traditional Norwegian folk art, will be offered in a workshop at the BAC on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, March 20, 21, and 22.

Peg Piltingsrud returns to the BAC to lead the workshop. Piltingsrud is a traditionalist in her approach to rosemaling and in keeping with the old world traditions, using only oil paints in her work. Students will be exposed to the classic style while intermediates will have a review of the basics.

Cost is $150 for the three day workshop, held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The class fee includes three artist’s brushes, paint as needed, palettes and a 12-inch wooden plate or plaque or other item to paint on, along with boiled linseed oil and paint thinner. NO turpentine is allowed.
