Artisans Guild

The Bosque Valley Artisan Guild was founded in 2008 by a group of Central Texas artisans and those who appreciate handcrafted work.  Members have met throughout the years at various studios to share their experiences and knowledge of their crafts.  The primary goals of the guild are to promote and appreciation of handwork and to provide a venue for artisans to show their work.  The "Mind's Eye Show and Sale" is the result of hard work to achieve these goals.  This show celebrates the beauty and tradition of works in wood and metal, fiber and clay created by many Central Texas artisans and invited guest craftsmen.  Please contact the arts center if interested in joining.

Participation in the group is open to any who wish to join and there are no annual dues. One of the goals of the group has been to educate others in the appreciation of work that incorporates the creativity and the inspiration of the makers. In the course of this interaction we decided to share our work with the public in an annual show and sale entitled “Mind’s Eye”. This spring the group will hold the third annual show in downtown Clifton on the last weekend in April in conjunction with the “Big Event” at the Bosque Art Center that attracts not only local people but many visitors from out of town. Free event listings have already been placed in several magazines including, Dallas Morning News, Guide Section, Texas Co-op Power, Texas Commission on the Arts, Waco Today and others. We will have an ad in Waco Today in the March and April issues.
